Field Day in the Lower North, 2011
The South Australian Coloured Sheep Owners' Society members come from all walks of life, backgrounds and professions.

Some are commercial farmers producing coloured wool and woollen products for sale, some breed coloured sheep on a small scale for fun and some do not even own sheep.

Members find homes for orphan lambs

Many of our members farm and breed sheep producing quality fleeces in a range of natural colours. Others are also spinners and crafters. Several produce crafting supplies and woollen products. All that is required is an interest in naturally coloured wool and the desire to learn about and promote coloured sheep and their fleece.

The diversity of backgrounds, experience and farming locations among our members mean we have a rich and varied collective knowledge to share with people new to sheep, interested in producing coloured wool or simply keen to use the beautiful natural pallet of fleeces.

The "Fleece and Flock" book detailing members' registered coloured sheep in SA including rams is also available for a small fee.
